Professor Joslin Takes Part in Three Panels in Law & Society Meeting

Professor Courtney Joslin participated in three panels at the Law & Society conference held July 13-16 in Lisbon, Portugal. 

Joslin served as a discussant for the Marriage and Parentage I panel and presented her Article “How Parenthood Functions” (forthcoming, Columbia Law Review) on the Parentage II panel. The Article is co-authored with Yale Law Professor Douglas NeJaime. 

Joslin chaired a roundtable on her forthcoming book Social Parenthood in Comparative Perspective. Co-edited with Fordham Law School Professor Clare Huntington and Christiane von Bary of Ludwig Maximilians University, the book will be published next year by NYU Press. 

Professor Joslin is a scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on LGBTQ and non-marital families.
