Professor Joslin Publishes Essay on Yale Law Journal Forum
Professor Courtney Joslin published an essay, “Nurturing Parenthood Through the UPA (2017),” in the Yale Law Journal Forum. The essay is a response to Douglas NeJaime’s article "The Nature of Parenthood." Joslin’s piece explains how the Uniform Parentage Act (UPA) of 2017 addresses critical gaps in parentage law. In particular, the essay shows how the revisions to the Act remove discrimination on the bases of sex and sexual orientation that have been long-standing features of parentage law. Joslin served as the reporter for the UPA (2017).
More information about the UPA (2017) is available on the Uniform Law Commission's website.
