Professor Joslin Presents at West Coast Sexuality, Gender & Law Conference
Professor Courtney Joslin presented a work in progress on Feb. 21 at the West Coast Sexuality, Gender and the Law Conference at UC Irvine. The next day, Joslin commented on Professor Albertina Antognini (University of Arizona) and Susan Appleton’s (Washington University) piece “Abolishing Family Law.”
Joslin and Professor Brian Soucek are organizers of the conference, along with Professors Ari Ezra Waldman and Courtney Cahill (UC Irvine), Andrew Gilden (Willamette) and Kaipo Matsumura (Loyola Los Angeles).
Professor Joslin is a leading scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples. She is a two-time Dukeminier Award recipient and the 2023 recipient of UC Davis Law’s Distinguished Teaching Award.
