Professor Joslin Presents in Belgium, Releases New Book
Professor Courtney Joslin gave two presentations on July 14 at the annual conference of the International Society of Family Law (ISFL) in Antwerp, Belgium.
Joslin presented her 2023 Columbia Law Review article “How Parenthood Functions,” co-authored with Yale Law School Professor Douglas NeJaime, as part of the “Social Parents” panel.
Joslin later chaired and presented on a panel about a book she co-edited, Social Parenthood in Comparative Perspective, which was published in July by NYU Press. During the discussion, Joslin, co-editor Christiane von Bary and four other contributors to the book explored the law of social parenthood in six countries in North America and Europe.
Professor Joslin is a scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples.
