Professor Joslin Presents at ABA Family Law Section Fall Conference

On Sept. 28, Professor Courtney Joslin presented at the American Bar Association Family Law Section’s fall conference. The presentation addressed developments in the law regarding fertility care and assisted reproduction, including the recently enacted Michigan Family Protection Act.

Joslin assisted in drafting the act, which is based on the Uniform Parentage Act of 2017.

Professor Joslin is a leading scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples. She is a two-time Dukeminier Award recipient and the 2023 recipient of UC Davis Law’s Distinguished Teaching Award.
