Professor Joslin to Chair ABA Commission

Professor Courtney Joslin has been appointed Chair of the American Bar Association Commission on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI).

Created in 2007, the commission works to secure for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons full and equal access to and participation in the ABA, the legal profession, and the justice system.  Professor Joslin has been a commissioner since the body's inception, and will assume leadership following the ABA Annual Meeting held July 30-August 4 in Chicago.

Professor Joslin is a scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples.
