Professor Joo gives presentation based on article co-written with Alex Wheeler '22

On Feb. 19, Professor Thomas Joo offered a virtual presentation titled “The Paycheck Protection Program: 2021 Update" to the faculty at St. John's University School of Law.

The presentation described how the original PPP legislation in spring 2020 was not well-targeted to help small businesses affected by the pandemic, and how Congress tried to improve the 2021 version of the program. The presentation was based on the 2020 UC Davis Law Review article "The 'Small Business' Myth of the Paycheck Protection Program," which Joo co-authored with Alex Wheeler ’22.
