Professor Johnson Helps Make 'Case for Optimism' About DEI Programs
Professor Kevin R. Johnson participated in the Los Angeles County Bar Association program ”The Case for Optimism: Doubling Down on DEI in the Legal Workforce, Workplace and Marketplace” on Oct. 29 at Loyola Law School.
Presented by the bar association’s Diversity in the Profession section, the event gathered panelists with firsthand knowledge of the ongoing power and success of robust DEI programs in the legal profession.
Kevin R. Johnson is a distinguished professor of law, Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law, and Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Law. Johnson also has an appointment as professor of Chicana/o studies at UC Davis. He served as dean of UC Davis Law from 2008 to 2024. Johnson is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
