Professor Johnson Delivers Keynote at the 12th Annual Forum on the Latino Community

Professor Emeritus Kevin R. Johnson delivered a keynote at the 12th Annual Forum on the Latino Community on Sept. 9, 2026.

The event, “Bridging the Gap Between Immigration Policy and Its Relationship to our Communities,” was held by the Latino Leadership Council (LLC) of the Sacramento-Placer County.

Angela Breining ’19, Secretary of LLC’s Board of Directors, invited Johnson. 

Kevin R. Johnson is a distinguished professor of law and Chicanx Studies emeritus and director of the Aoki Center. He is the former Mabie/Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and he served as dean of UC Davis Law from 2008 to 2024. Johnson is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law and civil rights.
