Professor Harris' Classic Law Review Article Among Most-Cited of All Time

A canonical article by Professor Angela Harris is among the most-cited law review articles of all time, according to a recent research paper in the Michigan Law Review.  Professor Harris' "Race and Essentialism in Feminist Legal Theory," originally published in Stanford Law Review in 1990, is listed as the eighteenth most-cited paper of all time.  The list is based on research by Fred Shapiro, Associate Librarian for Collections and Access and Lecturer in Legal Research at Yale Law School, and Michelle Pearse, Librarian for Open Access Initiatives and Scholarly Communication at Harvard Law School, who authored the Michigan Review essay.

Angela Harris is a Professor of Law at UC Davis School of Law and one of the nation's foremost scholars in the fields of critical race theory, feminist legal theory, and civil rights.
