Professor Charles Calleros '78 Honored

Charles Calleros '78, a Professor at Arizona State University College of Law, recently received additional awards for his work as a teacher and mentor.  Los Abogados, Arizona's Hispanic Bar Association, honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education presented him with its Mark Santana Law-Related Education Award for his outreach to the community through the Hispanic National Bar Association mentoring program and his work with iCivics.org, which teaches middle school students about law and government through computer games.

Earlier this year, Professor Calleros was voted by the College of Law's graduating class as Outstanding Professor of the Year 2015, voted by the Moot Court Executive Board as Outstanding Faculty Coach 2015, and honored as the first recipient of an annual award named after him by the Chicano/Latino Law Students Association, the Charles R. Calleros Campeon de Justicia award, for his work in mentoring and outreach to youth in the community.
