Professor Charles Calleros '78 Earns Teaching, Mentoring Awards
Charles Calleros '78, a Professor at Arizona State University College of Law, recently earned awards for his work as a teacher and mentor.
Calleros was voted by the graduating class as Outstanding Professor of the Year 2015, voted by the Moot Court Executive Board as Outstanding Faculty Coach 2015, and honored as the first recipient of an annual award named after him by the Chicano/Latino Law Students Association, the Charles R. Calleros Campeon de Justicia award, for his work in mentoring and outreach to youth in the community.
In June, he will receive the Mark Santana award from the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education for his outreach to the community through the Hispanic National Bar Association mentoring program and his work with iCivics.org, which teaches middle school students about law and government through computer games.
