Professor Afsharipour Presents at Law & Society, Business Law Scholars Conferences

Professor Afra Afsharipour presented her paper “Effective Corporate Governance and Inclusion” (co-authored with McGill Law School Professor Darren Rosenblum) at the Law & Society Association Annual Meeting on May 25 in Chicago and at the National Business Law Scholars Conference on June 25 at UCLA School of Law.

Afsharipour serves on the planning committee for the annual National Business Law Scholars Conference, which was held at UC Davis School of Law in 2024.

Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Law Afra Afsharipour’s areas of research include corporate law and governance, mergers and acquisitions, transactional law, and the legal profession. From 2018-2024, she served as Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Her scholarship has appeared in the Columbia Law Review, University of Chicago Law Review, Minnesota Law Review, Vanderbilt Law Review, and UC Davis Law Review, among other leading publications.
