Painter-Thorne '02 Member of Mercer Law Faculty

Suzianne Painter-Thorne '02 is an assistant professor of law at Mercer University School of Law. She teaches Legal Writing I, Legal Writing II, and American Indian Law. Her paper, "Contested Objects, Contested Meanings: Native American Grave Protection Laws and the Interpretation of Culture," was published in the UC Davis Law Review (2002). Her honors include: Order of the Coif, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, senior research editor of the UC Davis Law Review, Patrick J. Hopkins Memorial Writing Award, and the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence.
