N.Y. Times, Politico Newsletters Quote Professor Elmendorf on Berkeley Cap, CEQA

Professor Christopher Elmendorf spoke to Shawn Hubler of the New York Times for the Times’ March 15 “California Today” newsletter about the potential enrollment freeze at UC Berkeley, which was stopped by new legislation signed by Gov. Newsom on March 14.

Hubler conducted a Q&A with Elmendorf about continuing problems with the California Environmental Quality Act. The new legislation “leaves the larger problem of CEQA untouched,” Elmendorf said, when it is in dire need of an overhaul.

Politico’s March 10 California Playbook briefing also quoted Elmendorf on CEQA, and City Journal mentioned Elmendorf in the context of the Berkeley enrollment cap/CEQA controversies.
