Norman Brand '75 Named Super Lawyer

Norman Brand '75 was named a Northern California Super Lawyer for Alternative Dispute Resolution. Super Lawyers are the top five percent of attorneys in each state, as chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Law & Politics. Northern California Super Lawyers is published annually in August.

A full-time neutral since 1983, Mr. Brand specializes in labor and employment law, both private and public sector. He mediates and arbitrates discrimination, executive compensation, trade secret, and wrongful termination disputes. He was sole arbitrator in a $50 million trade secrets case, has arbitrated multimillion dollar pension cases, and has mediated the first "pay for performance" teacher contract in America. He mediates statutory disputes for EEOC and DOL, and employment disputes for cities, counties, and states. He mediated the model annual maintenance agreement for Sacramento Delta Reclamation Districts, and a dispute over remediation of nine Superfund sites involving 19 parties.
