Marc Levinson '73 Named to Prestigious National Bankruptcy Conference
Marc Levinson '73, a bankruptcy and debt restructuring partner in the Sacramento office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, is one of two bankruptcy professionals selected to join the National Bankruptcy Conference (NBC), a group of the nations foremost authorities on bankruptcy law.
Levinson is nationally recognized for his expertise in complex reorganizations and restructurings, out-of-court workouts, and other insolvency matters. He is the Ninth Circuit Regent of the American College of Bankruptcy and a past President of the California Bankruptcy Forum.
"It is an honor to have been invited to join such a select assembly of bankruptcy experts," said Mr. Levinson. "I am looking forward to working with the other members of the NBC to fulfill the NBC's mission of continually improving the bankruptcy laws.
The National Bankruptcy Conference is a voluntary, non-profit, self-supporting organization of about 65 lawyers, law teachers, and bankruptcy judges who have achieved scholarly distinction in the field of bankruptcy law. Its purpose is to study the operation of bankruptcy and related laws and proposals for their reform.
