Louis S. Abronson '97 Prevails in Case Against Korn Singer
Louis S. Abronson '97 successfully represented Arthur Rosenblatt, a curator of historical exhibits, in a suit brought against Jonathan Davis, the lead singer of the rock band Korn, brought in the Court of Appeal of the State of California, District 2.
The unusual suit involved comments Davis made disparaging serial killer art and artifacts he had collected and turned over to Rosenblatt as part of a settlement of a suit brought by Rosenblatt after the pair's plans to open a museum failed. The settlement agreement provided that Davis would not "publicly disparage or otherwise say anything negative" about the memorabilia, yet the singer was quoted in several media outlets making negative statements about the items, which included Ted Bundy's Volkswagen and two clown suits owned by John Wayne Gacey.
Abronson is a solo practitioner with a law office in Los Gatos.
