Lott '72 Appointed to Alameda County Superior Court
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced the appointment of Willie Lott Jr. '72 to a judgeship in the Alameda County Superior Court.
Lott, 60, of Danville, has served as a commissioner for the Alameda County Superior Court since 2002. Previously, he served as deputy county counsel for the Alameda County Counsel's Office from 1979 to 2002 and deputy city attorney for the San Jose City Attorney's Office from 1974 to 1979. Lott earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the UC Davis School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Hayward now California State University, East Bay. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Robert Fairwell.
