Lawrence Brown '89 Speaks at Supreme Court Luncheon

Lawrence Brown '89, recently sworn in as Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of California, was the keynote speaker at the 2009 Annual Supreme Court Luncheon hosted by the Sacramento County Bar Association and the Sacramento County Barristers' Club.  Among the notables in attendance were all of the Justices of the California Supreme Court, Law School Dean Kevin R. Johnson, Associate Justice Carlos Moreno of the California Supreme Court, and numerous King Hall alumni.

Brown, a 1999 Law School alumnus of the year who has taught a course on legislative process at King Hall since 1998, replaces McGregor Scott, who announced his resignation in October.  He will serve until August 2009, unless a presidentially appointed U.S. Attorney is installed prior to then.
