Larson's Research Paper on SSRN's Top Download List
The Social Science Research Network (SSRN) listed acting Professor of Law Carlton F.W. Larson 's paper entitled, "The Forgotten Constitutional Law of Treason and the Enemy Combatant Problem" on their Top Ten downloads list for U.S. Constitutional Law: Separation of Powers & Federalism in December.
Larson's research interests focus on constitutional law and legal history, with a strong emphasis on the 18th century. Prior to joining the UC Davis faculty, Larson spent three years in private practice and served as a law clerk to Judge Michael Daly Hawkins of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his law degree from Yale Law School, where he was an articles editor of The Yale Law Journal and a co-recipient of the Benjamin Scharps Prize for best paper by a third-year student.
SSRN is devoted to the rapid worldwide dissemination of social science research and is composed of a number of specialized research networks in each of the social sciences, including the Legal Scholarship Network which publishes the UC Davis School of Law Legal Studies Research Paper Series.
