King Hall Immigration Law Clinic Frees Juvenile Client, Draws Media Coverage
The UC Davis School of Law Immigration Law Clinic was featured in a San Francisco Chronicle article on the release of a clinic client. The 14-year-old Honduran refugee was released to a foster home on March 13 following nearly one year in immigration detention. The story also drew coverage from FOX-40, KCRA-3, Univision, and other television news programs, which featured comments from Holly S. Cooper ’98, Co-director of the UC Davis School of Law Immigration Law Clinic.
In addition to Cooper, students, Sara Ehsani-Nia ’18 and Eduardo Osorio ’18, worked on the case alongside Cecilia Candia and Erin Maxwell of Legal Services for Children.
