John Petrini '70: 1944-2008

John Petrini '70, a former assistant dean of the UC Davis School of Law and a partner in the firm Borton Petrini, succumbed to cancer at his home in Bakersfield on December 19, 2008, following a long struggle with the disease.  Remembered for his numerous acts of charity as well as the importance he placed on faith and family, Petrini served as assistant dean from the time of his graduation from King Hall until 1973, when he went to work for the Yolo County District Attorney's Office, where he supervised the Major Crimes division.  In 1978, he went to work for Bolton Petrini, where his father was a partner.  He is survived by his wife Jan and their two children, Jeff and Jessica.
