Jason Heath '95 and Christopher Cheleden '95 Honored for Environmental Work

Jason M. Heath '95 and Christopher R. Cheleden '95 were honored last week with a Recognition Award from the County Counsels Association of California for their work in blocking the aerial spraying of pesticides in Santa Cruz County where they work as assistant county counsels.  Their arguments convinced the Santa Cruz Superior Court that the spraying, intended to eradicate the light brown apple moth, was in violation of the California Environmental Quality Act.  The pair, close friends since their King Hall days, also received a General Government Employee Recognition Award from the county for their work on this issue.
