Immigration Law Clinic Students Win Release of Teen Client
UC Davis School of Law Immigration Law Clinic students Masao Taylor '17 and Lesley Sedano '17 succeeded in negotiating the release of a teenaged clinic client last week, reuniting him with his parents in Southern California. The teen had been held in the Yolo County Juvenile Detention Center under the authority of the Office of Refugee Resettlement. The King Hall students also have filed an application for the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program on behalf of the client and requested U Visa certifications from state and county officials.
