Immigration Clinic Victorious Again!
UC Davis Immigration Law Clinic students won the case of a 21-year-old Mexican citizen facing deportation. Jessica Zweng '09, Walter Biggart '09, Steliana Schmidel '08, and Monika Saini '08, worked on the case.
During a hearing on November 30, 2007, the Immigration Judge granted the client cancellation of removal, and the client was released from custody.
Raha Jorjani, supervising staff attorney said, " The students really showed compassion to their client and his family, and commitment to the case."
