Hing Comments on Immigration Poll

Bill Ong Hing, a professor of law who specializes in immigration issues, was quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle on California voters becoming increasingly pessimistic, with immigration issues topping their worries.

Hing said there has been a great deal of media coverage on border issues and undocumented immigration over the past two years as a result of reform efforts in Congress and the protest marches put on by pro-immigrant groups. "I really think there's a lot of Americans who don't think immigration is that big a deal," he said.
