Gallagher '07 Runs for County Supervisor

Yuba City Attorney James Gallagher '07 has announced his intention to challenge Sutter County Supervisor Dan Silva in the next election. He has also picked up endorsements from three former District 5 supervisors.

Gallagher feels his experience in state politics, working for three years as a legislative aide and field representative for Assemblyman Doug LaMalfa, will be valuable in obtaining flood control and infrastructure funding.

Gallagher received a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California, Berkeley and a law degree from UC Davis. He works at Kelleher & Olivera, a Yuba City law firm, focusing on agribusiness law. He is married and has one daughter.
