Financial Times Quotes Professor Shanske on Plan for California 'Billionaire Tax'

Professor Darien Shanske spoke to the Financial Times for a Jan. 9 story headlined “California’s divisive plan to tax billionaires.”

Shanske helped draft the proposal for a one-time, 5% tax on California’s billionaires. Shanske also spoke to State Affairs about the plan, and to Fortune magazine and Morningstar about efforts in California as well as other states to levy more taxes on the wealthy to counteract federal cuts in funding for Medicaid and other services.
