Engels '04 Publishes Review in International Criminal Law Review
Chris Engels '04 has just published a review of a book by international lawyer Guénaël Mettraux, entitled The Law of Command Responsibility, in International Criminal Law Review, one of the leading peer-reviewed journals in the field.
After graduating from King Hall, Engels served in Sarajevo as Director of the Defense Section for the Bosnian War Crimes Chamber and worked in the U.N. Office of the Legal Adviser on justice and security issues related to Kosovo's transition to independence. After earning an M.A. degree in International Development from Brown University in May 2009, Engels returned for the third time to Afghanistan, where he is advising that country's Human Rights Commission on transitional justice.
