Elmendorf's Research Paper on SSRN's Top Download List
The Social Science Research Network (SSRN) listed Acting Professor of Law Christopher S. Elmendorf's paper entitled, "Advisory Counterparts to Constitutional Courts" on their Top Ten downloads list in December for Comparative & Non-U.S. Constitutional Law.
Elmendorf's current research concerns the roles that ongoing advisory bodies can play in fostering governmental accountability and sustaining the foundational commitments of liberal democracy. He aslo has long been interested in how property institutions may support (or retard) the stewardship of ecological resources. He worked on private lands conservation prior to attending law school and has published in this area.
SSRN is devoted to the rapid worldwide dissemination of social science research and is composed of a number of specialized research networks in each of the social sciences, including the Legal Scholarship Network which publishes the UC Davis School of Law Legal Studies Research Paper Series.
