Dean Johnson Comments on Job Market for Daily Journal

Dean Kevin R. Johnson commented for the Daily Journal on the recession's impact on job prospects for new law school graduates and King Hall's efforts to find jobs for students. 

"These are hard times," Johnson said. "Things can be done. Students are hustling. We're hustling as an institution."

Johnson is reaching out to managing partners at law firms across the state and encouraging King Hall alumni to consider hiring new graduates from their alma mater.  King Hall is also offering its 2009 graduates short-term research jobs on the UC Davis campus.

In light of the difficult job market, the UC Davis School of Law Office of Career Services is ramping up its efforts to support job seekers by increasing its outreach to a diverse range of law firms and ensuring that new graduates take advantage of the wide variety of resources offered by Career Services.
