Darrell Steinberg '84 Wins Primary for Legislative Seat
Former state Assemblyman Darrell Steinberg '84 easily wins primary Tuesday night for the only open legislative seats in the Sacramento metropolitan area. Steinberg hopes to succeed termed-out state Senator Deborah Ortiz, D-Sacramento.
Steinberg, seeking to return to the Legislature two years after he was termed out of the Assembly, won by an overwhelming margin, 81 percent to 19 percent, with more than 99 percent of precincts counted.
