Darrell Steinberg '84 Profiled in Wall Street Journal
Darrell Steinberg '84, president pro tempore of the California Senate, was the focus of a Wall Street Journal article describing him as "the biggest player in California state politics" and praising his reputation as a "non-partisan dealmaker" who is best-equipped among state lawmakers to take the lead in the unenviable task of resolving California's budget problems.
Steinberg, a former Sacramento City Councilmember and State Assembly member, has been a senator since 2006 and assumed senate leadership last year. He was the commencement speaker for King Hall's Class of 2009 graduation.
