Daniel Girard '84 Appointed to U.S. Judicial Conference Advisory Committee
Daniel Girard '84, founder and managing partner at Girard Gibbs LLP, has been appointed by Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts to serve two terms on the United States Judicial Conference's Advisory Committee on Civil Rules, which is responsible for drafting and recommending amendments and additions to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Girard, who is a member of the American Law Institute and serves on the Advisory Board of the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System and Educating Tomorrow's Lawyers, was notified of his appointment via a personal phone call from Chief Justice Roberts.
