Karli Eisenberg '11 interviews retired California Supreme Court Justice Kathryn Werdegar on stage.

Two King Hall alumnae helped honor retired California Supreme Court Justice Kathryn Werdegar at a recent California Lawyers Association event in San Diego.

Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye ’84, the chief justice of California, presented the Bernard E. Witkin medal to Werdegar, her trailblazing former colleague. Werdegar retired last year after 23 years on the California Supreme Court. She was only the third woman to serve on the state’s high court, and had been the first female editor of the California Law Review at UC Berkeley.
