Charles Bird '73 Named as President of American Academy of Appellate Lawyers
Charles Bird '73, partner in McKenna Long & Aldridge's San Diego office, has been named 2015 President for the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers (AAAL). Bird will lead the Academy's efforts to connect with and create state appellate-lawyer groups to expand the appellate practice specialty.
Bird previously served as President of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers. He handles civil appeals and writs in a broad range of business and commercial fields. He has argued cases in the United States Supreme Court, five U.S. circuits, the California Supreme Court, and the California Court of Appeal.
