Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye '84 to Lead Public Policy Institute of California

The Chief Justice of California, Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye ’84, will become president and CEO of the Public Policy Institute of California, the influential nonpartisan think tank. The chief justice, who is retiring from the court, will assume her new role in January 2023.

In a press release announcing Cantil-Sakauye’s new role, the PPIC noted her “extraordinary talents, expertise and stature to advance our unique purpose and mission” and “strong track record of impartiality.”
