At Campus Event, Professors Florey, Ikemoto, Tang Address History, Future of Reproductive Rights

Professors Katherine Florey, Lisa Ikemoto and Aaron Tang spoke during the Jan. 23 “Abortion & Law” event at UC Davis’ Alumni Center.

Presented by several campus units as part of the three-part conversation series “America & the States of Abortion,” the discussion addressed the history of abortion, the effects of the Supreme Court Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision on state powers, privacy and health equity, and the future of legal efforts to ban abortion.

UC Davis Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies Associate Professor Rana Jaleel and Sacramento State history Professor Rebecca Kluchin also participated.
