Bruce E. Chan '81 Appointed San Francisco Superior Court Judge
Bruce E. Chan '81 was appointed to a judgeship in the San Francisco County Superior Court by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on January 22. Chan has served as a commissioner for the San Francisco County Superior Court since 2004 and prior to that as chief counsel for the California State Assembly Committee on Public Safety. He also worked for the San Francisco Public Defender's Office as a senior trial attorney from 1989 to 1999 and as a trial attorney from 1981 to 1986. He was an associate at Ropers, Majeski, Kohn, Bentley, Wagner and Kane from 1986 to 1989.
