Blogs Spotlight Article by Professor Elmendorf on Housing Misperceptions

The Marginal Revolution and Volokh Conspiracy blogs spotlighted “Folk Economics and the Persistence of Political Opposition to New Housing,” a new article by Professor Christopher Elmendorf, Clayton Nall, and Stan Oklobdzija.

The article presents evidence that opposition to new housing construction often is fueled by a mistaken belief it will increase housing prices, when the opposite is true.

Christopher S. Elmendorf is a UC Davis Law professor of law whose teaching and research interests include election law, administrative law, statutory interpretation, constitutional law, and property and natural resources law.
