Bijal Vakil '96 Comments on SF Legal Market for The Recorder
Bijal Vakil '96 commented was interviewed by The Recorder for an article examining the announcement by Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom that the New York-based firm would shutter its San Francisco office and consolidate operations in Silicon Valley. Vakil, a partner at White & Case, which is also based in New York and which consolidated its Bay Area offices in Silicon Valley in 2006, was asked to comment on the announced move.
"The San Francisco market just isn't a relevant data point anymore," said Vakil. "It really is the Valley-at least for the type of work our office focuses on."
The article, "Valley steals spotlight, but S.F. has its charms," was published December 20.
