Alumni Justices Preside Over King Hall Moot Court Competition

Yolo County Superior Court Justices David Rosenberg '74 and Timothy Fall '87 will each preside over an upcoming semi-final section of the Frances Newell Carr Competition, an intra-school Moot Court trial tournament.

The first round of this year's competition was unusual in that 12 1Ls participated. Without any prior coursework in Evidence or Trial Practice, they put in long hours learning trial advocacy and performance skills. Their work paid off, and one team of 1Ls will compete in the semi-finals presided over by Yolo County Superior Court Judge David Rosenberg '74 and student evaluator attorney David Akulian from the Yolo County District Attorney's Office on November 7. On November 10, Yolo County Superior Court Judge Timothy Fall '87 and student evaluator attorney Alberto Roldan from the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office will preside. The final trial will be held November 21.
