Alum Joan Haratani Honored with Diversity Award
UC Davis School of Law alum Joan Haratani '84 was honored with the Bar Association Diversity Award at the 40th anniversary event for the Council of Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO), July 22, 2008. Dean Kevin Johnson and Assistant Dean for Admissions and Enrollment Sharon Pinkney attended the awards ceremony. Haratani, a distinguished partner with San Francisco-based firm Morgan Lewis, is a frequent lecturer on diversity in the legal field and has received numerous awards for her work on behalf of minorities.
CLEO, a nonprofit entity of the American Bar Association, aims to diversify the legal profession by helping minority, low-income, and disadvantaged students matriculate, graduate, and pass the bar exam.
