Alum David Hyman Receives Prestigious Award
David Hyman '80 was awarded the 2008 Judge Learned Hand Award by the American Jewish Committee of Philadelphia and New Jersey. Hyman, the managing partner of Philadelphia firm Kleinbard Bell & Brecker LLP, was honored for his work with, among others, Operation Understanding, a community-based organization designed to promote dialogue between the African American and Jewish communities. Each year, Operation Understanding sponsors a trip to Senegal and Israel for African American and Jewish high school students.
