AAPI-MENA Women in the Legal Academy Workshop Set for CUNY in October; Professor Ikemoto to Be Honored

Registration is now open for the third annual Workshop for Asian American Pacific Islander and Middle Eastern and North African Women in Legal Academy, to be held Oct. 19-21 at City University of New York School of Law.

Professor Lisa Ikemoto will be honored at the workshop for her years of dedicated service to the academy.

UC Davis School of Law hosted last year’s workshop, which drew 70 participants over two days. The law school is a sponsor of this year’s workshop, and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Afra Afsharipour serves on the event’s planning committee, and co-chaired the committed for last year's event.

Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor Afra Afsharipour’s areas of research include comparative corporate law and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and transactional law. Her scholarship has appeared in or is forthcoming in numerous law reviews, including the Columbia Law Review, the University of Chicago Law Review, the Minnesota Law Review, the Vanderbilt Law Review, and the UC Davis Law Review.
