Professor Soucek Explores Themes from New Book on ‘Insight,’ in Seattle Times
Professor Brian Soucek discussed his new book The Opinionated University on the Jan. 22 episode of the Capital Public Radio program Insight with Vicki Gonzalez. Soucek also wrote a related, academic freedom-themed Jan. 18 Seattle Times op-ed.
Soucek will give a book-related talk, “DEI: A Eulogy?”, on Monday, Feb. 23 at the law school as part of the Aoki Racial Justice Speaker Series.
Professor Soucek’s primary teaching and research interests are antidiscrimination law, civil procedure, constitutional law, and refugee/asylum law. He holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. He has clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Mark R. Kravitz in Connecticut, and Judge Guido Calabresi of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
