Professor Joslin Presents Essay on Challenging Marital Privilege

Professor Courtney Joslin presented her forthcoming essay “Challenging Marital Privilege Through Functional Family Doctrines” at a March 31 symposium presented by the New England Law Review.

The symposium centered on University of Pennsylvania Penn Carey Law School Professor Serena Mayeri’s new book Marital Privilege: Marriage, Inequality, and the Transformation of American Law

Professor Joslin is a leading scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples. She is a two-time Dukeminier Award recipient and the 2023 recipient of UC Davis Law’s Distinguished Teaching Award.
