Jotwell Spotlights Article by Professor Fish
An article authored by Professor Eric Fish received praise in Jotwell from Christopher J. Walker, an associate dean of academic affairs and professor of law at the University of Michigan Law School.
Walker writes that in the forthcoming Stanford Law Review article “Deportation in the Deep State,” Fish does a "terrific job" exploring questions in the context of immigration law with a focus on "shadow removals."
Professor Fish’s primary research is in criminal law, with particular focus on the ethical duties of participants in the criminal process, the structure of immigration crimes, and the system’s emphasis on administrative efficiency. Fish has served as a public defender, first with the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office, and later as a Federal Defender in San Diego.
