Wonderful 2024 APALSA Banquet
Last Saturday night, the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA) held its annual gala at the historic California State Railroad Museum in Old Sacramento. It was a busy night in Old Sac, with many UC Davis folks, a classic car cruising event, and many people enjoying a stupendous spring-like day.
One of the keynote speakers was King Hall alum, Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Kara Ueda '00. She talked about her journey to the judiciary. Vito Vang '24 talked about his experiences as one of the few Hmong students on the road to becoming a lawyer. The highlight of the night was honoring the graduating students, who provided baby pictures to display on a monitor as each was honored with a ceremonial stole.

It was a great King Hall turnout. Professors Thomas Joo, Clay Tanaka, and Luke Fadem were in attendance. I sat with Director of Admission and Outreach Joe Schneider. The night was inspiring and reminded me of why King Hall is such wonderful a place.
